Webflow Reprices Around AI Credits and Adds a $2,500 Team Tier

After a year of AI app generation and a rebuilt CMS, Webflow's May 2026 pricing overhaul shows where the company wants to make money.

Key takeaways

  • Webflow merged its CMS and Business site plans into a $25/month Premium plan and added a Team platform tier at $2,500/month.
  • AI work now draws on a credits system; Webflow's MCP Bridge App lets users run AI operations on their own external LLM credits.
  • Webflow Conf 2025 set the product direction: AI app generation, code components, a next-gen CMS and real-time collaboration.

On May 13, 2026, Webflow rewrote its price list: the old CMS and Business site plans collapsed into a single Premium plan, a new Team tier arrived at $2,500 a month, and AI features began drawing on a credits system. It is the commercial end of a strategy Webflow laid out at Webflow Conf 2025, where it pitched AI as the path from prompt to production.

The product bet: AI that builds on your design system

At Webflow Conf in September 2025, the company reworked its assistant into a conversational partner that can build and manage sites across the editor. The bigger claim was app generation: describe an app or React component in a prompt and Webflow produces it. According to the company's own announcement, generated output inherits the site's design system and connects to the CMS. That positioning is Webflow's, not an independent test.

Developers got a parallel track. Code components let teams bring their own React elements onto the visual canvas, so engineers ship the logic and designers place it. The same event announced a next-generation CMS architecture, real-time collaboration on a page, comment-only review links that need no Webflow account, and Webflow Analyze, which reports on traffic referred from AI tools.

The pricing reset

Per Digidop's breakdown of the May 13 announcement, Basic rose from $14 to $15 a month. The former CMS ($23) and Business ($39) plans merged into Premium at $25 a month billed yearly. High-traffic sites move to Premium with bandwidth add-ons; the article puts 100 GB at about $45 a month, roughly where Business sat. Some former CMS customers may pay slightly more, though Webflow raised default limits on CMS items and collections and folded in features once sold as add-ons.

The new Team tier, $2,500 a month, sits between self-serve and Enterprise, which stays custom-priced. Reports describe it as bundling platform tools such as localization, publishing workflows and governance, but details vary by source, so check Webflow's pricing page before budgeting.

AI credits and the MCP escape hatch

The pricing change also introduces credits. Some AI features consume them while others stay included in subscriptions; Digidop names localization as one that draws credits, without stating the rate. Credits are optional, and Webflow's MCP Bridge App lets users run AI operations against their own external LLM credits, Claude among them. That matters for agencies: heavy AI users can route the cost to a model account they already pay for.

The consolidation also simplifies a confusing ladder. Previously a marketing team needing a blog or product catalog bought CMS, while a team needing form handling and higher limits bought Business. One plan now covers both, which lowers the decision cost for new buyers and makes the jump to Team feel like a natural next step once a company needs governance and multiple workflows around the same sites.

Enterprise and answer engines

A late-April report noted Webflow added answer engine optimization (AEO) to its Enterprise plan, and March brought the acquisition of Vidoso.ai, a startup for brand-aware AI visuals and video. Taken together with Webflow Analyze's AI-referral tracking, the company is selling Webflow as the place where marketing sites get found by chatbots as well as by Google.

What to watch

  • How existing customers react at renewal, especially former Business-plan sites with heavy bandwidth.
  • Whether Team's $2,500 price pulls agencies and mid-size marketing teams away from Enterprise sales cycles.
  • Credit allowances per plan, which the early coverage does not specify.
  • Independent tests of whether AI-generated apps really respect a site's design system and CMS bindings.
